June 15, 2008. Still busy - Visitor notices site continues to be un-updated three years after last visit

Mr. A. Orr, a dedicated visitor to the site, recently contacted us once again to point out that the site remained un-updated since his initial comment on the stagnant content in 2005. While it is true that the visitor website has remained unchanged, we are pleased to point out an important new web developement in the form of SarWiki. This is a site dedicated to the sharing and cataloguing of geomatics related information. In addition, it provides workspaces for committees involved in topics such as Health and Safety, Field Survey Standards and Professional Development.

Once again, thanks Alex, we appreciate you being our number one fan.

December 28, 2002. Dr. R.S. Radovanovic will present a paper at the 11th Annual Federation International de Geometre (FIG) International Symposium on Deformation Measurements in Satorini, Greece.

The paper, entitled “A Novel Method of High Precision Height Determination for Industrial Applications”’, is the result of research into a new method of measuring monitoring points in industrial applications with sub-millimetre accuracy. The method has already been successfully applied to an industrial deformation monitoring project involving a large electrical generating plant located in Alberta, Canada.

The conference is scheduled to run from May 23 to 27, 2003 and will feature presentations from scientist involved in the field of deformation monitoring and high-precision surveying, as well as showcases by the leading manufacturers of specialty survey and metrology equipment.
